About

I’m Dr. Renae DeLucia (she/her), a licensed counseling psychologist dedicated to helping individuals live more empowered and fulfilling lives. I completed my undergraduate degree at Marquette University and my PhD at the University of Houston. My doctoral research focused on how affirming and discriminatory experiences impact queer peoples’ mental health. I have trained and worked in multiple outpatient settings including VA Medical Centers, a university counseling center, and Houston’s LGBT community hub, the Montrose Center.

I am currently licensed in Texas, New York, Virginia, and Wisconsin and authorized to practice telepsychology across all states participating in PSYPACT. For a list of current PSYPACT participating states, please visit the PSYPACT website at:https://www.psypact.org/psypactmap

My Approach

My work is informed by my devotion to social justice and hope for a better world. My clinical approach is grounded in a relational, feminist orientation, which means I emphasize the importance of authentic connection and collaboration in therapy. Interventions I typically integrate into sessions include strategies such as self-compassion, mindfulness, and values exploration. I also strive to help you understand how societal influences shape your experiences and empower you to reclaim agency for yourself and your communities.

I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ adults and creating a safe, affirming space for all clients. Together, we’ll explore your unique story and work collaboratively to help you meet your goals.
